Australian broadcaster, SBS, announced Isaiah Firebrace as Australia’s contestant at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Kyiv, Ukraine. Isaiah’s Eurovision song Don’t Come Easy was also revealed today, on stage at an intimate performance in Melbourne, Australia. Read the full story.
In a press release Australian broadcaster, SBS, confirmed their plans to reveal their 2017 Eurovision Song Contest song and act on the 7th of March:
Last May, Australians watched on from across the world for a nail-biting finish in Stockholm, Sweden, as Dami Im soared on the stage with anything but a Sound of Silence, to be crowned Eurovision Song Contest runner-up.
Now comes the chance to do it all again, at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine, this May. The Australian artist chasing Eurovision glory at the world’s biggest song contest is about to be announced, on Tuesday 7th March.
For the first time ever, Australia’s artist and song will both be revealed at the same time, in an intimate live performance at a secret location in Melbourne. The artist reveal will be broadcast LIVE on SBS Facebook from 7:30AM (CET) (17:30PM Sydney time). Stay tuned for updates and a countdown to the announcement moment!
