Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Second Semi-Final
Since 2008, two Semi-Finals have been held to decide which countries will participate in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. The second Semi-Final of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest took place on Thursday 12th May.
Voting during the show
Citizens of each participating country voted by telephone and SMS. Each country's 10 favourites were awarded 1 to 8, 10 and 12 points based on the number of votes.
The professional juries also voted. The 10 favourites from each national jury were awarded 1 to 8, 10 and 12 points.
These two sets of points were then added to the scoreboard, meaning that jury and televoting results had equal weighting.
Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom voted in this Semi-Final.
