About Lidia Isac

Lidia Isac will represent Moldova in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. The singer has already tried her luck as a solo artist and as a part of the duo Glam Girls in national selections in previous years. In Stockholm Lidia will sing Falling Stars, written and composed by Gabriel Alares, Sebastian Lestapier, Ellen Berg and Leonid Gutkin.

Lidia Isac was born on 27th March, 1993 in St Petersburg, Russia. Lidia has been involved in the music since she was a child. At the age of seven, she began to take piano classes at Maria Biesu musical school in Chisinau. Lidia has participated in and won a huge amount of competitions. Her first international success came when she was 13 after she took part in the Serebryanaia Yantra contest in Bulgaria.

In 2013 Lidia Isac came third in East Bazaar, a music completion in Yalta. In 2014, the singer reached the final of New Wave, the international contest in Jurmala, Latvia. She also took part in the Grand-Prix of the Baltic Supertars Contest in St Petersburg. In 2015, she won Meikin Asia in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan.

  • I love to sing opera.
  • I can bake a very tasty Moldavian traditional cakes.
  • I have a tattoo with the Latin words "Carpe Diem" that means "live the moment". I always value the moments that life is giving me.

It's a huge contest watched by millions of people. It's amazing when you can deliver your song, emotions to such a big family, the Eurovision family. Also, it's a great opportunity to make new friends, collaborations, build bridges between cultures and discover the beauty of music, that is so different in every country.
