Levina will represent Germany in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Perfect Life.
Germany’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is the perfect liaison of Nordic metropolitan charm, a husky voice of international class, and a song that will delight Europe. Levina easily eclipsed 2,000 aspiring acts at the German preliminary show and now deservedly represents Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Perfect Life.
Despite her natural charisma, the 25-year-old Isabella “Levina” Lueen is a professional. Bestowed with enormous talent, she won the acclaimed German regional, federal, and national music competition Jugend Musiziert at the age of nine, wrote her own songs at twelve, studied vocals and composition in London, and was promptly awarded “Best Vocal Performer”. Levina lives and works in Berlin and London.
Perfect Life was penned by US platinum songwriter Lindy Robbins and her team, and encourages the notion of a ‘perfect life’ allowing mistakes in pursuit of our dreams. Perfect Life is a contagious, border-crossing pop hymn for a modern Europe.

The lyrics to Perfect Life are universal and speak to everybody, the beat immediately makes people want to dance, and I would like to present something truly special for the audience of the live show in Kyiv.
What are the three most impressive facts about you?
My particularly deep voice, my long legs, and the fact that I started taking singing lessons at the age of nine.
Do you have a (lucky) routine before you go on stage?
Taking deep breaths has always helped me relax and focus before I go on stage.
Why is the Eurovision Song Contest important for you?
The Eurovision Song Contest is a great international music event and has such an important function in celebrating cultural differences. At a time when the political situation in Europe isn’t always easy, I’m especially excited to be able to participate in this contest and show that music has the potential of bringing people together. For me as an artist it’s obviously amazing to perform on such a big stage and be able to reach a tremendous audience with Perfect Life.
About the composers
If the expression ‘hit machine’ really suits someone it’s US songwriter Lindy Robbins. The multiply platinum-awarded musician from Los Angeles reliably delivers hit singles since 1998, already turning heads with songs for Anastacia, the Backstreet Boys, Faith Hill, and Shaggy at the beginning of her career.
Lindy Robbins has been writing extremely successful for almost two decades now, recently celebrating chart hits with stars like Jason Derulo, David Guetta, Olly Murs, and Demi Lovato. If asked for her formula she explains: “I try to write with my heart, not my head.”
Together with her songwriting team consisting of Dave Bassett and Lindsey Ray, Robbins has now penned the music and the lyrics of Levina’s Perfect Life, the German entry for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. “The song’s especially close to my heart because it encourages us to take risks and follow our dreams. Life is an adventure and it’s the journey that it’s all about!”
