Every year viewers and fans from countries at the bottom end of the sore board blame the the others for voting unfairly und politically.
If these critics would have had a closer look to the results of the past years, it would be easy to find out that these so called "political/heighbouring votes" do not really matter at all.

Of course some people always vote for countries they like no matter the song. But these votes generally do not effect the final result very much. To end up in the Top10 you need votes from all over Europe and a popular song to get them. Germany showed best in 2010 how it works. Counries like the UK, France and the Netherland should take this as a positive excample and take the competition serious. report to the moderator

I read hereunder some comments and disagrements about voting . It means that we're keen on it, each year. In the last final there were at least 10' songs that derseved to win...for the lyrics, for interpretations...etc. Televotes and juries satisfied or not. We expected much more for Spain, for Azerbaijan, that had a great singer with a very good voice. The swedish producers were sure from the beginning and maybe this helped and influenced the choice. Someone spoke of unfair.I hope political voting is a tales a nosense. I liked the show a lot. Of course only one can win but me too expected much more for other singers. report to the moderator

Congratulations to all the artists and songwriters Well done! Big show. Loreen, Nina and Pastora were my favourites, Congratulations Loreen (you really deserved it). Nina and Pastora deserved to be in top 3.
Other underreated entries : Denmark, Iceland, The UK, France, and of course The Netherlands, Portugal, Israel and Switzerland deserved to be in the final. I really missed them.
Overrated entries : Russia, Turkey .
Good luck to everybody from now on!!! report to the moderator

that may not necessarily be a financial decision but other countries with financial difficulties might follow (spain, greece etc..) report to the moderator

that may not necessarily be a financial decision but other countries with financial difficulties might follow (spain, greece etc..) that then is part of the esc problem.another part is the unfair voting by certain countries and last night was no exception. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyprus_in_the_Eurovision_Song_Contest, ( see voting history for an example/evidence.) when graham norton tells us who the 12 points are going to before they are announced, you know what sort of night it is going to be. graham was doing the same thing as terry wogan was, telling it like it is and he got slammed for it. when ireland declared their votes graham norton criticised them for not giving us enough . that is a desperate place to be but thats where we are at right now. report to the moderator

our singer wasnt to blame, the song wasnt to blame, unfair voting is partly to blame. the problem the uk have is whether or not to continue putting money into a competition that is unfair. report to the moderator

uk has a problem, esc has a problem. did anyone else hear the disappointment in graham nortons voice towards the end of the contest?. he like most of us saw the reality of eurovision and that is we have no chance of winning it. (getting some votes would have been nice) report to the moderator

why people in the UK, Ireland, or even Italy bother with a contest such as the Eurovision when you have always produced some of the best and most successful bands / artists in Europe and the world?

Like the previous commentator said Eurovision is for fun and never take it so seriously. What would you have said if Russia won and not Sweden? report to the moderator

Show's what a joke this contest has become with all the political voting & talentless idiots (i.e. JEDWARD) getting more points than others who have more talent in their little fingers than tey do in their whole bodies.

Time to call it a day on this anachronistic joke & total waste of money, methinks report to the moderator

Despite the usual political/neighbourly voting it's was great to see such classy songs from Albania and Estonia doing so well, kind of restores my faith in the ESC report to the moderator

Adrian from Italy, first of all, Malta is not in Italy. Secondly, yes Italy had a nice song and also Malta. I am sure they are other nice songs which deserved better placing. However, this is Eurovision and it was always like this. Therefore, either you accept it and participate or you ignore it, as Italy did for a number of years. Nevertheless, Loreen had a nice and special song which is also unique and not the usual sexy happy songs of Greece and Cyprus. If it was a boring song, then it would never have got a high vote from each and every country in Europe excluding Italy (one of the countries that I love most) who was the ONLY country who gave no vote to Sweden at all! Yes as a Maltese, I feel that our song deserved a better placing but we are still happy that we did qualify and participate for the final. report to the moderator

    I'm very happy that most of the countries who didn't qualify last year were in the Finals;
FYR Macedonia, Turkey, Cyprus, Malta, Norway, Albania and many others.

Also great to see some better results from countries like Estonia who finished second to last in 2011. This year they did amazing. Also Albania, 5th place. Best results in years!

Kaliopi of Macedonia participate before but didn't reach the final. Now she did with a better result. What a great comeback. report to the moderator
