Kyiv, Ukraine -

The rumour mills of the Eurovision Song Contest are at full swing and the current hot story is about the connections between the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani representatives of 2010.

On Saturday the Ukrainian national final for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest was held where their artist, Vasyl Lazarovych, performed five entries. The winner was, as already reported, the lyrical song I Love You... It got the maximum score from both, the jury and the viewers.

Among others, the Azerbaijani participant, Safura, also took the stage and heard the song that night. This lead to some very interesting photos taken of the two stars meeting. Apparently, Vasyl couldn't take his eyes off from Safura the whole evening, our sources said. What do you think, is there something going on between those two?

May the things between them be as they are, the Ukrainian heartbreaker also released a video where he greets every woman in the world for today's international Women's Day. See it below!

More work ahead

Although the Ukrainian song was chosen almost unanimously, it will have further improvement. "The work only starts and soon we will record the backing track of the song I Love You… together with the Berlin Orchestra in co-operation with best European sound producers," Lazarovych added.

As for the Azerbaijani entry, the decision is still work in progress, even though, Safura did give hints what her favourite is by performing Drip Drop in Kyiv on Saturday, winning many hearts. Brandon Stone, who wrote a song for Vasyl Lazarovich, pointed out that Drip Drop has all the chances of becoming a real hit this spring.

How will both of these entries do in Oslo, at the 55th Eurovision Song Contest, that can you decide in May.

Which song do you like more? The Azerbaijani or the Ukrainian? Tell us below!

Hey Kangaroo, go feed your animals in the Pacific, don't mess around in this region! What about Australia's genocide to Aboriginal communities? So, there's food for thought for you in Australia!!

I am sick and tired of seeing political comments by Turkish and Azerbaijani users against Armenia.
Seriously stop bullying your neighbour and work to mend broken relations.

Armenian GENOCIDE is fact and we in Australia fully support Armenia in this matter.
Your government committed Genocide and murdered over 5 million Armenian, Greek and Assyrian Christian minorities. Grow up and move on. Dont deny!

Safura is a good choice, Azerbaijan definitely won't regret it. Her voice is amazing - doesn't sound like she is only 17, really mature and strong voice. Good luck!!!

The Khojaly Massacre was the killing of hundreds of ethnic Azerbaijani civilians from the town of Khojaly on 25-26 February 1992 [...] the massacre was committed by the ethnic Armenian armed forces [..]

Guys, lets not turn this discussion into the struggle of nationalists! Azeris, Armenians, and Turks are great people, so are Ukrainians and Russians. It is a bunch of nationalist politicians who politicized history and re-interpreted events to gain support. and you people are just falling into this trap.
As for me, I have not yet heard any of this songs, but I hope they will be great. Both countries send regularly very good entries. Good luck to you, Azerbaijan and Ukraine!

I agree with you, Atilla. They have always been jealous of us - Azerbaijanis and Turks. Turks much, but Armenians - 1. Someone doesn't agree? I'm here: the_stranger_boy@mail.ru(mAgent too)!!!!

@Alex4Carmen
why are you so jealous? poooor. armenians have always problems with turks but turks have no problems wirth armenians because you are not important to us. where is armenia ?? i don't care.
maybe instead of you (fortunately not) i would be jealous, too. so i can understand you.
who can humanize you? maybe turks and azeris ;)

ya bunlar cok komik. gercekten bunlara aciyorum. su ermeniler iki birden Türkiye ve Azerbaycan'la ugrasiyor. baska dertleri yok galiba. yazik... NE MUTLU TÜRKÜM DIYENE !

Alex4Carmen - your hatred has made you go blind! There is nothing Wrong with Azeris and Turks - they are bad only in the eyes of those who have fiiled their hearts with hatred taking its roots from jealousy. Poor you!
