London, United Kingdom -

Mike Stock, co-composer of the United Kingdom's 2010 entry has announced that the song will be remixed and a new version released in the near future.

After much criticism by the public of the quality of the Pete Waterman and Mike Stock composed song, Mike Stock has announced on his website that the song will be remixed and a new, better version released soon.

In a reaction to the criticism and comments received about the song That Sounds Good To Me, Stock said, "what I found most frustrating was having to record six different versions of That Sounds Good To Me incomplete and unfinished. Obviously until you know who has won you can't deliver the final version. This is what has made this year slightly unusual"

This appeared to be a criticism of the BBC's national selection format where each of the six acts rehearsed to perform their own version of the song with only three being presented on the night.

He then went on to say that he is busy preparing a new and final version of the song, which he expects to pleasantly surprise people.

On Saturday the British Public, with the help of legendary song writer Pete Waterman, selected 19 year old Josh Dubovie to sing the song. Mike Stock says that he is going to work closely with Josh in the next week to prepare a new version of the song to presumably make it more suitable for his voice as well as sprucing it up a bit. Mike also commented on the versatility of Josh saying, "this is great news for me because we can concentrate on delivering a thumping and exciting mix without worrying if the singer can cope".

On the subject of whether or not the United Kingdom can take home victory in Oslo on the 29th of May, Stock said, "I don't ask myself the question 'can we win Eurovision?', I just want only to do a great job and, believe me, it isn't easy because so many things are out of your control. But anything is possible to do".

In 2009 the United Kingdom achieved a very respectable fifth place when Jade Ewen performed the song It's My Time written by world-famous composer Andrew Lloyd-Webber and legendary lyricist Diane Warren.

Could a new version of the UK entry help improve its chances?

I've tried to save this song...rewritten a few lyrics, added a line to the chorus, also put in a key change to make the chorus more punchy...it also now has a more dynamic ending...hope you like!

Well to be honest it needed changing, like it is a good song but at the time didn't suit Josh's voice. Can't Wait to hear the final version. Should be wicked! :D Hope it can do well :) Top 10 atleast :D

ive heard all the entries this year and to be honest the only ones that stickout are Swedens and Azerbaijans so pick your winner from those 2....however i think Josh does have a good chance of getting in the top 10 but if i was a UK judge from the shitty BBC i would of sent Paloma Faith as she is typically British and has a great voice with a great song called Upside Down.

Heres the link....if only she was representing us im sure we wold of won!!

Never mind we have been (once again) screwed by the BBC!!!! no taste and outdated!!

Good Luck Josh...ya gonna need it!

Loved the SAW work in the 80's but was disappointed when I listened to the song the first time. Don't think that a new version can help...

Mike Stock's website now says that the song is finished, sounds great and will be released as a single - but no details of when we will hear it.

I'm sorry, but no matter how much this song is re-mixed, it will still fare badly. If it was a SAW song of old, then yes, but this is something that Peter Kay's Geraldine would even turn down.
Please UK go back to one singer with 6 songs for next years choice

I absolutely agree with Millym...We might not finish in last place we might finish first or second etc but we dont know that until the final... I too have every confident in Josh he's fantasic singer, if he wasn't than he won't be singing in Oslo. And as for Pete and Mike who have been in music production for years even wrote songs for Kylie, Jason Donovan etc had their singles get to number 1 so they won't write a rubbish song for Josh...So lets and try support our country :-)

I do agree that we should really be voting on the song - but the problem has been to get decent songwriters interested in this contest and hence why the current approach has been adopted. All this talk about us finishing last is absolute rubbish and if we are not careful will end up being a self fulfilling prophecy - I have every confidence in Josh who is a really good singer and in Pete and Mike to do a great job on the production. Lets try and support our entry not knock it down - as Mike Stock says on his website - 'calm down dear - its only a pop song'

Why does everything have to be hard work with the UK entry. We are finishing last place, we need to accept and move on. Can we vote on the song and not the artist next year please!
