The draw that determines the running order in each Semi-Final will be determined during the traditional Heads of Delegation meeting in the host city, which shall take place on the 14th of March.

The 2011 Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 10th, 12th and 14th May at the Düsseldorf Arena. For the Final, some 35,000 tickets have been sold. The three shows will be hosted by Anke Engelke, Stefan Raab and Judith Rakers.

I cant understand why europe allows DISCRIMINATION in The eurovision.
    Arent all euopean residents equal?
Do you have to have money to be the Elite in Europe.
ITALY returned to Eurovision song contest only after it was ok in December 2010 that it
would be part of the big 5, and will automatically qualify to the final part of the contesdt.
Please explain what ITALY has more than MALTA?

Is it money wise and who has money can do what he wants?
Is it because Italy is a big country and can BULLY small nations?
Or maybe I am wrong if Malta refuses to enter for a couple of years it would be given
    a BIG6 Statues ?
Could anyone please explain? report to the moderator

The entry this year of Italy is due to a respect for Germany both members of big 5.Otherwise eurovision here lacks interest. This is due to many other competitions & show both nationally and worldwide. On the other part Italians do not like not even a bit english language same with the british.Theres also complaints about sanremo cause too many young artists there so old famous are still struggling so they decided to enter its one of the reasons other is mentioned above.I dont give them too much doubt either this shows look like a neighbour party where big names countries come last whereas they are best worldwide.Germanys win was political i guess. As of it is fair luddini its fair cause they contribute financial & you cant compare italy with sweden im sorry. report to the moderator
