Moscow,Russia -

French superstar Patricia Kaas took to the stage today for the second rehearsal and performance of the French entry Et S'il Fallait Le Faire.

Patricia is dressed in black leather trousers and a thin black shawl, and is wearing what resembles a gold butterfly on her top. The set is dimly lit and Patricia is all alone on stage. For an artist of Patricia's calibre, her vocals do all of the talking and nothing else is required to enhance the already stunning performance.

Patricia is vocally immaculate throughout her rehearsals, and her inimitable class and years of vast experience as a performer worldwide stand her in great stead for this competition.

The second French press conference was equally as full as yesterdays, as the world's media all took an interest in France's biggest star. Patricia was asked how she spends her free time. She said "I like to spend time with family, friends, walking the dog, shopping. I do travel a lot with working."

When asked about the lyrics of the song, Patricia adds "There is a part of poetry in there, the character is similar to me, although I don't want to die for love!."

Patricia revealed that she didn't choose specifically the song to represent France in this years Eurovision Song Contest, she was asked to specifically sing Et S'il Fallait Le Faire. Patricia's team gave the CD to French Television, and set a condition that they were to choose the song which would represent France in Moscow.

Patricia said that she likes Russian traditions such as music, they have beautiful melodies and wonderful lyrics and great emotions, similar to what we feel."

The press conference was ended by a surprise for Patricia Kaas, the Managing Director of Sony Music Russia entered the stage to present her with a Diamond Disc for her album Kabaret and it's sales in Russia.

Today, a real world star had her first rehearsal for the Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest: Patricia Kaas performed the French entry alone on stage, and only simple camera shots were used to underline the melancholic mood of the song and the charisma of the singer. who really managed to give everyone in the hall goosebumps with her perfect interpretation of Et S'Il Fallait Le Faire!

Wonderful song: real quality in everything - melody, voice, lyrics and the presentation. For once it's not a circus or cabaret with fireworks and numerous useless dancers who only distruct for what should be the centrepoint here - THE SONG.

Go Patricia! What a woman, she owns that stage alone: no dancers, no back vocal. You don't need to understand words to feel it. Goddess!

Patricia, you are amazing!
This a fantastic song... so much quality! Your perfomance is great! You yourself fill the stage, no need of any choreography.
No matter what the outcome is at the end of the ESC, this song will become a classic. Thank you so much.

PATRICIA- FOREVER ! RUSSIA LOVES YOU !

nice perfomance... but donno if it get enough votes ><
and little delay before rehearsal - and some persons of delegation become irritable, especially their 'boss', who hears only himself, so it is intolerable...
