Moscow -

After the second Semi-Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, the artists shared their thoughts and feelings at the after-show press conference. Furthermore, the starting positions for the Final were drawn – this completes the running order of the Final.

In a press conference at the Olimpiysky Indoor Arena, held immediately after the show, the representatives of the ten countries that qualified for the Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest from the second Semi-Final talked about their feelings after tonight's show and their plans for Saturday. Journalists from all over Europe were present in a full-packed press conference hall, and they had the opportunity to ask the happy qualifiers questions.
This is the draw for the running order of the Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest:

1. Lithuania
2. Israel
3. France
4. Sweden
5. Croatia
6. Portugal
7. Iceland
8. Greece
9. Armenia
10. Russia
11. Azerbaijan
12. Bosnia and Herzegovina
13. Moldova
14. Malta
15. Estonia
16. Denmark
17. Germany
18. Turkey
19. Albania
20. Norway
21. Ukraine
22. Romania
23. United Kingdom
24. Finland
25. Spain

Croatia's Igor Cukrov and Andrea Šušnjara were the first performers announced at the press conference. Igor told about how his experience from the participation in a Pop Idol style contest in his home region had given him great experience. Now he is ready for bigger tasks.

Alexander Rybak from Norway was congratulated for his birthday, which he celebrated the previous day, with a song from the attendance. A Belarusian questioner proved to have a poem from Alexander's grandmother, which she handed to the surprised singer. “Every journalist should take example of her,” Alexander said.

The Danish finalist Brinck was asked by a journalist from his home country to give a message to Europe. Brinck responded by thanking the people of Europe in all the languages that he could think of. When being asked of whether he had received any greeting yet, he answered that his cellphone was flooded and that he had turned it off for the press conference.

AySel from Azerbaijan gave a necklace as a present for his duet partner Arash as a thanks for the company during the last months. Arash said that they of course felt nervous on stage, but that he felt that they could achieve anything together.

For Greece, Sakis Rouvas, after drawing the position of eight in the running order of the Final, performed his entry once again. He was then asked to comment on his close relation to the head of the Russian jury, Philip Kirkorov. Sakis stated that he has had this relation since long before this contest, and he said that he has great faith in the sense of justice of Mr. Kirkorov. Sakis had plenty of loud supporters from his home country present in the press conference.

An overjoyed Sasha Son from Lithuania said that he thought that his achievement this night would be of major importance for his country. He commented that his song was about hope, and that everyone has something in their lives that they hope to achieve.

Nelly Ciobanu from Moldova drew the running-order position of thirteen, but nevertheless was happy and satisfied – and even more so when a journalist told her that a friend of his won a bottle of wine from betting on her success this night.

The Albanian Kejsi Tola, shining with joy, said that she loves her song and to participate in the contest. She also sent her greeting to a special boy in the attendance.

Svetlana Loboda from Ukraine had a problem with one of her “hell machines” on stage, which did not turn on its lights. She also told Eurovision.tv, after advancing to the final, that she is ill and has been unwell for some time. At the press conference, she performed her song, spectacularly standing on top of the press conference podium.

The Estonian Urban Symphony already had the position fifteen ready, as they were last in the draw their place in the running order. But the box with the number wouldn't open, and would only give way when Ukraine's anti-crisis girl Svetlana Loboda gave it her best try. The group told that they thought about positive things such as their families and friends during the performance.

People, somehow you forgot to vote for "Let tmou" by Kamil and Nela. This song should have brought elegance, romance and perfect singers to the final. Anyway, thanks to those who voted for this song, though it didn't get to the final. And I truly believed they would, 'cos I saw the audience loved it and enjoyed it very much. You saw that too. But.....

Hello! i'm from the Netherlands, i must say that i find it pity that the toppers are not in the final! But you guys don't know them and there humor so i can see why you didn't vote for hem because the song wasn't that great haha! But it was cheerfull !:D i voted for Norway by the way, nice song. I do think that there is some " votes for the wrong reasons" but it is also true that the balkan country's produce better songs :)
We do have good performers in the netherlands, but they don't want to go to Eurovision because they think it is crap:P Oh well let's have the balkan country's there country : WE HAVE SOCCER!:D

First of all I believe that in this competition everybody is a winner. This year there are so many beautiful songs that you can not decide which is the best.Perfect songs took part in this competition but they didn't pass to the final like Cyprus. Many big names participate this year like Patricia Kaas for France and thats good.I love the songs of Greece and Iceland.

Sad to hear/see so many 'western' people giving out about block voting. Ireland won 7 times and we only have one next door neighbour. Portugal has been in the Eurovision Song Contest 45 times I think and has never won and they only have one neighbour like Ireland. At the end of the day this is a TV show albeit a spectacular and large one. I'm Irish and sad that Sinead and Black Daisy didn't win but there are other excellent acts although I don't like em all. Well done to all the competitors and here's to another great year next year.

Well done Russia with your stage and interval acts. Shame about the presenters for the semi finals. Very poor, unprofessional and clueless at best. Cringe worthy in fact.

Best of luck to Sweden, Malta, Norway, Iceland, Portugal and Azerbaijan.

What strange results already. I agree with Marina about Macedonia. They produced a good powerful performance , and importantly a listenable song . They failed to qualify and yet Romania , who appeared as the very next act on Tuesday , got through with a totally weak and unoriginal effort. Also it is quite obvious that there is some bias against all the 'rock' orientated acts , none of which qualified.

It is just really sad to see western countries getting angry on eastern Europeans. What does make you better than others? Is it just because your countries dominated all the time in history? Well get used to the fact that it might end one day or that it is not valid everywhere... This contest should unite all people, not separate them into western and eastern blocs. I think every person should be respected equally doesn't matter where he or she is from. Only because you are from UK it doesn't make you better than people of Azerbaijan. And thinking other way is just poor, arrogant and stupid. So put it into your stupid heads, which almost transformed into burgers and learn some tolerance as you westerners live between emigrants your everyday lives.

....You say you really know me,
you’re not afraid to show me
what is in your eyes
So tell me about the rumours
Are they only rumours?
Are they only lies?
Falling out of a perfect dream, coming out of the blue.
Is it true?
Is it over?
Did I throw it away?
Was it you?
Did you tell me you would never leave me this way?
If you really knew me
You couldn’t do this to me
You would be my friend
If one of us is lying
There’s no use in trying
No need to pretend
Falling out of a perfect dream, coming out of the blue
Is it true?
Is it over?
Did I throw it away?
Was it you?
Did you tell me you would never leave me this way?
Is it true?
Is it over?
Did I throw it away?
Was it you?
Did you tell me you would never leave me this way?
Is it real?
Did I dream it?
Will I wake from this pain
Is it true?
Is it over?
Baby did I throw it away?

....ICELAND 12 points :-) with love of Lithuania... :-)*

I am voting for Sasha Son,- he is leading voice in this year Eurovision! So the first place for Litauen, Lithuania of course. Then I would say scandinavian artists are great,- Norway, Sweden and Iceland - nice , very nice! By the way girl from Estonia performs brilliant, but one comment was a bit right, the song looks familiar , a bit like from Zorro soundtrack, but it is so easy to scream about copying.......

In my opinion there was songs that it was shame not to see them in the final such as the ones from Macedonia and Switzerland, as for the ones that are in the final I think a lot of the songs are boring and don't bring anything new, except a few that do stand out and worth to be mentioned like Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia, hope one of them wins. I must mention that Russia brought Eurovission on the highest level that it has ever been in terms of stage and everything that is under visual, good job that deserves a big aplause
