Tamara Gachechiladze, who also performs under the name Tako, will represent Georgia in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Keep The Faith. 2017 marks the tenth time that Georgia will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Tamara is a permanent fixture of any large concert that takes place in Georgia's capital Tbilisi. The singer has has taken part in a number of national and international festivals over the years. Tamara was member group selected to represent Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009, Stephane and 3G, however the country later withdrew from the competition. In January she won the Georgian national selection with Keep The Faith and will represent her country in 2017.

Tamara considered the message of her song to be the most important aspect of her song for 2017. "I wanted to tell to the whole world that no matter how tougher situations in life can be, you've got to keep the faith, believe in yourself and never give up", she said. "I want to make my country more famous and let the world listen to my voice", she added.

Tamara's song was written by Anri Jokhadze who represented Georgia in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku with the song I'm A Joker.

Later this year Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, will play host to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It will be the first time that Georgia has hosted a Eurovision event.
