Moscow, Russia -

Today at 21:00 CET (23:00 local time) the Grand Final of the 54th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Moscow's gigantic Olimpiskiy Indoor Arena. 25 contestants from 25 countries have qualified for Europe's favourite TV-show and experts expect a close finish tonight as at least 10 different countries have been named as possible winners! You can watch the show live in all participating countries, as well as here on Eurovision.tv.

Televoters and professional juries

This year, the European Broadcasting Union introduced some remarkable changes in the voting of the Eurovision Song Contest Final as for the first time in years, the winner won't be decided solely by televote. In contrast, a mixture of 50% televote and 50% jury will be used. For this purpose, national juries consisting of five music industry professionals have gathered in all 42 participating countries who will rank the songs in Eurovision Song Contest style, giving 12 points to their favourite song, 10 points to their second favourite etc. The results of the 5 jury members will then be added up and will account for 50% of the country's votes. Those results will then be combined with the televote results. So, don't forget to phone in or send an SMS for your favourite song(s)!

Tonight's contestants

The 25 songs participating in the Grand Final are the following:

1. Lithuania: Sasha Son will sing Love

also, i don't think jury make difference at all. the best songs--norway, azerbaijan, iceland and TURKEY-- won semi final without jury: http://wiwibloggs.wordpress.com/2009/05/18/norway-would-have-won-without-the-jury/

Hello from Bulgaria,
This vote was totally manipulated!!! Especially on the Balkans, our "temperament" can't give more than 2 points for norwegian song - just no way!!! I think THE REAL FAVOURITES are Johanna and Nelly Ciobanu and IT IS TRUE!!!

Best wishes to Iceland and Moldova

I can see hadise from turkey in top 3 competitors, but can't see azeris anywhere near the top. In fact if I could vote I would vote for hadise. I liked the song. I admire norway's too, with a slight exception that the song itself was a bit dry for me, otherwise it was an astounding performance. Our girls from Armenia spent lots of time to lay makeup which gave them the gaze of witches. Performance was ok but the song did not deliver a message. No surprises for anush and inga for the top competition. Perhaps they were favored more than they've delivered. Armenia made a big mistake sending them in. What looks good to their eyes doesn't necessarily look good in the eyes of others. They needed to prepare their singers by international standard. In these two girls I saw a blurry copy of Cher and Shakira, yet far from being good. There was no fascination in Eurovision 2009. It bore the minimum level of performance.

I loved the Estonian song but it does sound a little like "Magissa" sung by the wonderful Haris Alexioug from Greece. You can check it out on You Tube just for fun.

What a big show!!! Congratulations to Moscow!!!
But.... I am sad..... because of the unjustice to Soraya of Spain! She should have a better position! It is impossible that she was not between the best 10! what happen to the europe jury?
I love Eurovision... but I hate the vote system!
Congratulations to mr. Fairytale! but... also to Soraya !
