Geneva, Switzerland -

This year, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) introduced professional juries in all 42 participating countries to take a 50 percent stake in the result of the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In total, 210 music industry professionals - five per country - cast their votes and also declared Norway's Alexander Rybak as winner. Eurovision.tv can now exclusively reveal the outcome of the jury vote.

If only the professional juries had voted in the Grand Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, this would have been the outcome:

  1. Norway (312 points)
  2. Iceland (260 points)
  3. United Kingdom (223 points)
  4. France (164 points)
  5. Estonia (124 points)
  6. Denmark (120 points)
  7. Turkey (114 points)
  8. Azerbaijan (112 points)
  9. Israel (107 points)
  10. Greece (93 points)
  11. Moldova (93 points)
  12. Bosnia & Herzegovina (90 points)
  13. Malta (87 points)
  14. Germany (73 points)
  15. Armenia (71 points)
  16. Ukraine (68 points)
  17. Russia (67 points)
  18. Portugal (64 points)
  19. Croatia (58 points)
  20. Lithuania (31 points)
  21. Romania (31 points)
  22. Sweden (27 points)
  23. Albania (26 points)
  24. Finland (12 points)
  25. Spain (9 points)

The combined results lead to Norway's Alexander Rybak winning the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, followed by Iceland and Azerbaijan. For the full results of the Grand Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, click here.

Svante Stockselius, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the EBU, said to Eurovision.tv: "We believe it was the right time to introduce this new voting system, and it is fantastic to see that both televoters as well as professional juries massively backed the same contestant. Some finished higher because of support from the juries, others finished higher because of support from the televoters across Europe. It also made the presentation of the points less predictable, despite the overwhelming support for Alexander Rybak's entry."

All jury members were professionally involved with the music industry and signed declarations that stated they would vote independently.

what the f**k...only 4th place for France and 13th place for Malta? And also Sweden 22nd?I don't care about my country's place here(10th along with Moldova) but it's unfair.I think that they should keep juries in semifinals and remove them from final

armenia added Azeri monument into their video(videovizitka). afer Azerbaijan's appeal to EBU it was taken out from the video. and it is another fact of armenian's falsification. http://www.day.az/news/politics/157590.html

This site explains clearly who the jury helped (Israel, Malta) and who it hurt (Azerbaijan, Greece, Turkey): http://wiwibloggs.com/?p=1702

I have to say! The Juries hade like 100 % of the votes to give out to the songs! I mean just look at Norway, the juries in europe gave him 312 points.....which means that like 78 points was givewn by the people in europe! Sweden got 27 points from the juries...And that i don´t understand! That means that the people in europe only gave her 6 points !!!! That´s impossible! The juries had the upper hand this year...Hmmm...From the 20th place to the 25th place...I personally believe they were alot better then some other songs! Spain Was one of the best this year, ALong with Sweden,Finland,Malta and many more! I am really angry that Malena,Who is a mezzo soprano didn´t get a higher postition! Does anything work that we send? Someone plz respond!!!

Anyways, You have only read this blog, you should read the rest too. Anyways I think it is enough. Now we should be more polite to each other. Otherwise it is going to last forever, but I think the Culture is the place where we can find to come together and try to stop the hositilites between Armenians and Azeris. I just suggest to try to appreciate the culture of Armenia and Azerbaidjan without any comments. Are able to try to do that or not?? Instead of consuming our energy in fighting we can try to find common points and overcome the problem. I propose peace to Azeri people in this site and I hope you guys will not write mean things.

Listen Stupid Azik stop critisizing Armenians, you dont even have your own language and plus before 1918 you were not even existing. Armenians are one of the most ancient nations.
Concerning your song, your song was written by SWEDISH people. There are not even song writers in your country. You pay Europe to write a song for you and you pay Arash to come and sing for you. Next year you will pay Britney Spears to come and sing for you . Hahahahahah
We dont need anyone to present our country we can do it ourselves because we have enough talented people. You go and think who will present Azerbaidjan next year maybe Philipp Kirkorov.
Your government lies to you. you dont even have the true information and you learn false history in the school.

Reply to love Azerbaidjan,
Please go back and read the beginning of the comments anywere in this site and you will see that your fello compatriotes from Azerbaidjan begun first and have been really patient from the beginning of the Eurovision. Just go back and read what Azeri people say and you will see that there are only a few comments made by Armenians. I didnt mean offend anyone but you dont stop writing mean things about us and we will respond every time you make it.

Actually I totally agree with you about that and I don't condone any attack on Azerbaijan either, but those remarks were also a reply from angry attacks on Armenia. Well it's a vicious circle.

Peace to everyone!
