38 years after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973 for Luxembourg, Anne Marie David has been working in collaboration with German producer, composer and singer/songwriter Mave O'Rick to re-release her winner Tu Te Reconnaitras(Encore Un Fois) for the 2011 market.

Times have changed in the way people listen to music, from vinyl records and cassettes in 1973, to MP3's and downloads these days. It is fair to say that Anne Marie David's look and voice have hardly changed over the years.

Dance floor remix and German verison

The new version of the song, Tu Te Reconnaitras (Encore Un Fois) is a killer on the dance floor. It is the first Eurovision Song Contest winning song to be revamped in such a progressive way with clubby styles and sounds. It is not just a remix of the 1973 version, but it is, as well, a re-recorded cover version sung by the original artist herself.

It definitely shows us that classy French chanson and young fresh beats can be combined into something totally new. German artist Mave O’Rick came up with the idea for the remix, and he also produced the track with his team. Mave O'Rick has also recorded a duet with Anne Marie David of the German version of the song entitles Du Bist Da. This is a bonus track only available in online stores.

About Anne Marie David

Anne Marie David made it a double victory for Luxembourg in Europe's Favourite TV Show in 1973, when she beat off stiff competition from Mocedades of Spain and Cliff Richard from the United Kingdom.

She returned to the Eurovision stage once again in 1979, but this time representing France in Jerusalem, finishing in third place with Je Suis L'Enfant Soleil. She enjoyed success all over the world until 1987 when she announced her retirement from music. It wasn't until 2003 that Anne Marie decided to relaunch her career.
