Željko Joksimović to represent Serbia in Baku
Serbian broadcaster RTS has today revealed that Željko Joksimović will once again represent them in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. This will be Željko's fourth attempt at winning the competition.
Željko has been given complete control over the Serbian entry for 2012. He will both compose and perform the entry, which will be presented to the public for the first time in a show on Serbian television in early 2012.
Strong Eurovision pedigree
Željko Joksimović represented Serbia & Montenegro in the 2004 edition of Europe's Favourite TV Show with the haunting Lane Moje, finishing in second place in the Final in Istanbul.
He returned again as composer in 2006 in Athens, where he was responsible for the entry for Bosnia & Herzegovina, Lejla performed by Hari Mata Hari which finished in third place in the Final, their highest position to date.
Željko's third appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2008, when Belgrade hosted the event. He was co-presenter of the show but also composed the home entry for Serbia, Jelena Tomašević's Oro which finished in sixth place in the Final.
