The Czech flag
For the second time, Czech broadcaster CT organised their national final Eurosong, which again was held in Prague. From the ten songs participating, Have Some Fun by Tereza Kerndlová was chosen by an SMS vote to represent the Czech Republic in one of the two Semi-Finals of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.

Tough competition

Just like last year, Czech Television managed to attract lots of national stars for its final. The musical range covered all styles from dance to French pop via gypsy-influenced music, but it was the highly popular singer Tereza Kerndlová who got the highest number of sms-votes performing Have Some Fun. The song had been one of the favourites from the start and many fans and experts had already expected that the song would do extremely well in the Czech final.

Popular singer

Tereza Kerndlová released her new dance-pop album several weeks ago and it has sold well in the Czech Republic. Now on top of her popularity, she hopes to improve the Czech result of 2007, when the group Kabát came last in the Semi-Final in Helsinki.
