It's Black & White for FYR Macedonia
FYR Macedonia broadcaster MKRTV has just announced the details of their entry for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.
It has already been announced that Kaliopi Bukle was chosen internally to represent FYR Macedonia in Europe's Favourite TV Show in Baku.
Submissions received from a number of countries
Over the past month and a half, work has been under way to try and choose a suitable entry for Kaliopi. MKRTV received a number of songs from famous home composers and also those from overseas.
After deliberation, the winning composer was Romeo Grill. Romeo has been behind a number of Kaliopi's biggest hits during her career such as Bato and Kofer Ljubavi.
The title of the entry revealed
The title of Kaliopi's entry in Baku will be Black And White. Kaliopi has written the text herself. Romeo Grill has arrived in FYR Macedonia today from his home in Switzerland, to begin the process of recording the song. The song itself will be mastered in Germany.
MKRTV says that a presentation of the song will follow in a special programme in due course.
Kaliopi was chosen to represent her country in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, with the song Samo Ti, but unfortunately, as there were 29 countries vying for 22 places that year alongside hosts Norway, she was eliminated in a behind closed doors semi final, along with six other countries.
