Moscow, Russia -

Tonight, the Russian national selection took place in the concert hall Academic, Moscow. 25 talented artists fought for the honour to represent Russia in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. Buranovskiye Babushki won the hearts of the TV viewers and jurors with their song Party For Everybody! Thus, they scored the highest number of points and won the Russian national final.

Until the last week, the Russian national broadcaster RTR kept the Eurovision fans excited about their finalists. The more interesting it was to follow the entries of 25 contestants who competed in tonight’s show. The concert started with the powerful ballad sung by Lena Maksimova.

The hosts of the Russian national final were Olga Shelest and Mikhail Zelenskiy. They announced the names of the professional jury. Among the jurors were famous musicians and experts of the show business: Sergej Arhipov, Igor Krutoy, Aleksandr Igudin, Philipp Kirkorov, Arman Davletyarov, Roman Emelyanov and Gennadiy Gоchshteyn.

The contestants performed in Russian and English, and Buranovskiye Babushki sang their entry partly in Udmurt. The TV viewers could start to vote for their favourite candidates when the first entry had started. The voting closed 40 minutes after the last finalist performed on stage.

Ani Lorak who represented Ukraine in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade sang her song Shady Lady. The band Diskoteka Avariya came to support the finalists. They performed the song Malinki on stage while the votes have been counting.

At the end, it was the professional jury and the TV viewers who chose the candidate for Baku. It's Buranovskiye Babushki with their song Party For Everybody!

And now the bad reviews)))), and why someone scornfully says that they will be known only in its Siberia?? Firstly, they are of Udmurtia, in the second-Siberia more than the whole of Europe, and this is just one of the seven subjects of the Russian Federation (Just so you know). They are still on the year before the selection conquered all of Russia, their love is in all regions. I'm sorry, I just do not like this neglect of Siberia, I live here, and then cool. report to the moderator

We respect our grannies! Let all old people in the world be as courageous and nice as our old ladies!!! Do you know - the starting aim of their career was to collect enough money to build a church in their village, they seemed unusual and charismatic and were loved. Good luck to them!!! report to the moderator
