Could we have some names as to who an earth selected such a dreary and poor choice of song and an artist out of his time? Why do the BBC not open the song choice to a competition by region then national by modern, contemporary song writers. Why do the BBC think they know best? Just look at the points and try to understand that you know nothing about making this kind of choice. Again, who (name) chose this song and artist? report to the moderator

A nice song, don't know if it's Eurovision IYKWIM. A dark horse though.

Engelebert, unusually for the UK, is a really well-known and liked artist in Europe. report to the moderator

I'm just listening, once again LOVE WILL SET YOU FREE", Oh my dear Engelbert what
a beautiful man you are, and what a feeling in your voice ! For me you'll never change
you are the first man who make my heart beating 40 years ago and you are still doing it !!
Life has not been very good for me but, when I feel the courage is missing, I think of you
I listen a song, and everything is going to become alright again!
Your birthday is coming and I'll have a little surprise for you...

Take care of your health, for it's the most important thing. SEND YOU A LOT OF KISSES

Never been a particular Englebert fan but I like this song its possibly the most impressive performance I have found from Englebert, including the last waltz, and release me, got to say this stands a great chance, watch out opposition. report to the moderator

Never particularly been an Englebert fan, but having listened to the Eurovision entry for the UK this year I am very impressed the song is well written, brilliantly sung, at last we are taking the show seriously enough to make a good attempt at winning. This surely must do well. report to the moderator

Like this very much, perfect choice for Eurovision. To all those making silly, ageist comments, Eurovision is a competition for all ages - not just the young. In the UK Eurovision is predominantly watched and voted for by a BBC Radio 2 audience whose average listenership is aged 67. report to the moderator
