The winner of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, Dima Bilan, has been chosen to be among the top five for the Best European Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The Russian pop sensation was in the game for months, but now after beating seventeen other regional winners, made it to the top five together with Deep Insight (Finland), Doda (Poland), Lost (Italy) and maNga (Turkey).
At first, also Helena Paparizou, the Greek winner of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, was in the running to become the Best European Act.
The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards will be held this Thursday, then it'll be revealed who will win. Keep your fingers crossed!
Dima Bilan won Europe's favourite show back in 2008 with his song Believe. Helena Paparizou did the same in 2005 with My Number One.
