Vienna, Austria -

The last few days have been busy for the Austrian Eurovision representatives - they made plans for a totally new stage act for Baku. Apart from that, you can check out what the 1997 Eurovision winner, Katrina Leskanich (from Katrina and the Waves) said about Lukas Plöchl's version of Love Shine A Light.

Both Trackshittaz and the Austrian public broadcaster, ORF, are currently busy preparing for Baku. Especially the stage act is in the focus of current discussions. The Head of Press of the Austrian Delegation, Roman Horacek, explained: "These days, a rumour was created by an Austrian daily newspaper, stating that we wouldn't be allowed to use the same neon light show on stage in Baku as we had it during the Austrian national final. This is wrong."

He added: "We were just informed that, for security reasons, there cannot be a total black-out of the stage lighting in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, which would mean that a neon light show wouldn't be as impressive. Therefore, we have been working on an alternative, which certainly won't be less amazing, but we won't reveal the details before Baku."

Another interesting video which was recently re-published by ORF shows an excerpt of the talent show Wir Sind Helden, in which Trackshittaz' Lukas Plöchl participated a year ago. During one heat of that show, he performed the winning song of the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest, Love Shine A Light, and afterwards, the original artist, Katrina Leskanich, commented on his version.
