Tirana, Albania -

RTSH, the Albanian national public broadcaster participating in the Eurovision Song Contest, has requested the EBU the permission not to transmit the first Semi-Final live, after a serious bus accident in the country. The EBU decided to accept RTSH's decision to transmit the first Semi-Final deferred, and to only apply the jury voting.

Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the EBU, says: "We express our deepest sympathy with those who are affected by this terrible tragedy and have the utmost respect for the request of RTSH."

The decision has no consequences for Albania's participation in the contest. RTSH has informed the EBU they will transmit the second Semi-Final and the Final of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest live.

Måns Zelmerlöw and Petra Mede will be your hosts during the two Semi-Finals and Grand Final.
