Sabina Babayeva's Eurovision story
Sabina Babayeva was the representative of Azerbaijan in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, securing an impressive fourth place in the Final for the home nation just three weeks ago. Sabina has produced a video for her fans, telling the story of her time in the competition.
Sabina had tried every year since 2008 to represent her homeland in Europe's Favourite TV Show since Azerbaijan made their debut in the contest.
Sabina's persistency paid off this year after she was chosen to finally represent her country with the song When The Music Dies. On stage in Baku, Sabina was joined by one of the worlds most famed mugam singers, Alim Qasimov to add a national flavour to the performance.

During the second week of rehearsals in Baku, Sabina held a concert at the Baku Jazz Club where she gave a fantastic concert and was joined by some of her special friends from this year's contest, namely Anri Jokhadze from Georgia, Kurt Calleja from Malta and Željko Joksimović of Serbia. Interview AZERBAIJAN
Azerbaijan have a hugely impressive record since they began participating in Europe's Favourite TV Show in 2008. As well as their victory in 2011 with Ell/Nikki, they have achieved third place in 2009, fourth place in 2012, fifth place in 2010 and eighth place in 2008.
