Currently the Austrian Eurovision representative, Conchita Wurst, is very focused on her preparations for Copenhagen. Find out what she's been up to recently, and check out our video footage in our special feature!

The last few weeks have been more than just a little busy for Conchita Wurst, the Austrian act int he 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. She's been touring Europe, campaigning for tolerance, and preparing herself for the "big stage" in Copenhagen.

Promotional Efforts

In order to make herself and the Eurovision entry Rise Like A Phoenix known to a wider audience, Conchita has set off on a promotional tour. Starting in Madrid and Riga, she continued to Eurovision in Concert, which took place last weekend in Amsterdam - you can watch her performance there on Youtube:

After several interviews and performances on Belgian and Dutch TV, Conchita's next stop will be the London Eurovision Preview Party on April 13th.

Knit for Tolerance

Her beard is both Conchita's very own trademark, and a sign for tolerance and respect. The Austrian representative asks her fans to show their support - and wear a self-knit beard! You can also check out the Youtube Video about the campaign.

Conchita has promised to take all beards that have been knit and sent to her to Copenhagen. "No matter if the beards are black, white or colourful - Copenhagen shall wear beards", she says.

Rise Like A Phoenix
