Countdown to London
Following in the footsteps of the Eurovision in Concert event in Amsterdam, the next big event that fans can look forward to is the London Preview Party, which takes place in The Shadow Lounge, London on Sunday the 29th of April. So far, eight of this year's entrants have confirmed their participation at the event, and they will be joined by several more familiar names associated with the contest.
This will be the fifth annual preview party event to be held in London, and once again Paddy O'Connell, who was the BBC Semi-Final commentator from 2004 until 2010 will host the party, and he will be joined in that task by former United Kingdom entrant, Nicki French, who sang in the 2000 edition of Europe's Favourite TV Show when it was staged in Stockholm.
So far, the following artists from the 2012 contest will be performing their entries at the party;
- Anggun (France)
- Compact Disco (Hungary)
- Donny Montell (Lithuania)
- Eva Boto (Slovenia)
- Filipa Sousa (Portugal)
- Kaliopi (FYR Macedonia)
- Sabina Babayeva (Azerbaijan)
- Valentina Monetta (San Marino)
In addition Omar Naber who sung for Slovenia in 2005 will be making a guest appearance. Plus one lucky attendee will win two return flights to Baku for this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Tickets cost £25.00 and the event gets underway at 19:00 on Sunday the 29th April, with the acts taking to the stage from 20:30. Following the party fans will be able to dance the night away to Eurovision classics from all decades thanks to DJ Dave Simmons.
