I think, the greatest achievement was to avoid making it look bombastic and to ensure the connection between the stage and the audience, to keep the focus on music and performance. All the technical subtleties served the overall appearance and made the whole thing look kind of organic - the perfect symbiosis of all ingredients necessary to frame an event going far beyond the scope of anything comparable. I honestly think that Duesseldorf 2011 set new standards in this regard. Sound and light were sumptuous and simply left nothing to be desired, the lush production design was thoroughly appropriate to such an occasion. - Furthermore my deep admiration is for Anke Engelke, who was so perfectly suitable for this job that I wished she could get anytime soon another opportunity to showcase Eurovision, as she superbly did, and her own entertaining talent as well. I said it then and I do it now: Very well done, Duesseldorf and NDR - you were a real stamping ground for the whole of Europe! report to the moderator

Is this award just for eurovision2011 or for eurovision general? because the media here in germany quote that this award is just for eurovision , without 2011 at the end............. report to the moderator

    A well-deserved award for a well-made show, despite some small technical errors:D
