Today, more details about the German national selection, to take place on March 13th in Cologne, have been released: In addition to the well-known acts participating, new talents will get a chance to represent Germany in Copenhagen too. Popular musician Adel Tawil has just now launched a campaign for young musicians to submit their videos on Youtube.

One special and crucial new part of the German selection for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, Unser Song für Dänemark, has been announced today: Young artists and bands wishing to take part in the national final can submit their Youtube video starting from Monday, November 25th, 15:00 CET. They can apply with either an own composition, or with their interpretation of a known hit.

Adel Tawil, mentor of the talent show, about the approach: "I am very happy that young talents get the opportunity to take part in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, and I am already excited to see the - hopefully - many applications, great videos, and newly discovered bands and solo artists."

Live shows from Hamburg and Cologne!

The best musicians will get the chance to perform in a club concert, to be held in the Edelfettwerk in Hamburg on February 27th. The show will be broadcast live on NDR as well as on www.eurovision.tv and www.eurovision.de. At the end of the concert, the viewers will decide who will get the wildcard for the German national final, on March 13th in Cologne.

In total, eight acts will take part in the national final - they will be announced mid-December. Each participant needs two songs for the show.
