Paris, France -

Five weeks ago the French broadcaster premièred the three songs in contention to represent France at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in the weekly show Les Chanson D'Abord. Today it was time to announce the results in the same show and the winner is... Twin Twin with the song Moustache!

In today's broadcast of Les Chansons D'Abord, the presenter Natasha St.Pier made the announcement of the song that will represent France at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark.

Click on the song title to listen to the three candidates (winner in bold):

The songs have been voted on by the viewers from last January 26th to the 23rd of February 2014. A jury of professionals has also given their votes, with both accounting for 50% of the result. Recap programmes of the songs were broadcast daily on France 3 and on france3.fr and approximately 28 million people have watched one of the recaps, that represents 47% of the French population.

It was announced that the winners of the competition are Twin Twin with their song Moustache.

The winners Twin Twin

This is a trio of creative effervescence with electro, rock, rap, funk and chanson influences and consists of Lorent Idir and François Djemel, the twins after which the group is named; the third member being Patrick Biyik. With their spring-mounted melodies, their taste for mash-ups and striking conjugations, their use of gimmick and vibrant lyrics dealing with reality, Twin Twin looks like a great cure for the gloomy atmosphere. Their motto? Vive la vie ... Oh yeah!

France with Twin Twin and Moustache will perform at the Final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen on the 10th of May. Natasha St-Pier will also be this year's French commentator alongside Cyril Feraud on the night.

Me, I like it ! .May be in the Top ten?.
For information: the song "Moustache" was created BEFORE the very good hit "Papaouai" by Stromae. The Belgian artiist don't say at al about it. So, where is the plagiarism.?.
    Moi, j 'aime !

Why nobody say to this bunch of thieves STOP! You are stealing it from Stromae(papaoutai). If there is no own ideas in their heads, they should stay at home and not stealing ideas from such a talented young artist from Belgium. Who gave them permission to go to Eurovision? What a shame!!!
People, dont be quiet. Say to everybody its a PLAGIARISM! Songs like this should not take part in the Eurovision Song Contest!!!!
Twin Twin , SHAME ON YOU! report to the moderator

This year France chose three weak songs. This was the only possible choice, as this is the only one that can be put on a stage with a bit of performance. But I have to admit that I'm not very excited about this result, it's a bit too close to Stromae's style. I wouldn't but this track. report to the moderator

Twin Twin's music represents what's popular in France right now. I think its great that they are representing their country with a song like Moustache. If others can achieve 6th place for sending funny songs like Greece(2013), Ireland(2011) or Turkey(2012) then why not France as well? report to the moderator

    Bonsoir Copenhaguen,

Bisous. Maxime report to the moderator

I'm french and i can say that i don't agree with this choice, it's disappoint me, because it's a copy of the hit song "Papaoutai" by Stromae and viewed by more 122 million on YouTube. But i will support my country still despite this choice. report to the moderator

It was the best of a poor bunch, but it is a bit of a rip off of Papaoutai and you can see why with over 122 million YouTube views. When France sends a song in English, we will know that they are serious. If the majority of Europe can't understand what they are saying, they will just think it's about a moustache!!!! Oh yes it IS anyway!! It could well be taken to be a joke song, but they do look good and it sounds fun. I'm still not feeling it though. It could just scrape into the Top 20, but more likely bottom six. This sort of song will never win ESC again. Either way, definitely won't be Paris next year. report to the moderator

France made the right choice. I like it and I'm not sure if I can say this for the rest of the songs selected so far. At least, it will lighten up the atmosphere a little. It seems to me now that this is the best song chosen so far. report to the moderator

There´s a lot of similarities between both songs.... report to the moderator
