On 8 and 9 February, the 24 entrants will compete against each other in two semi-finals, the winner of which will go forward to the Latvian national final, to be held on 16 February in the city of Ventspils.

    I like Tirpini
But I know one of the writers of One and I Need a Hero... so I should go for them shouldn't I?

I wouldn't mind One making it actually.
    Or Joey.

Maybe Sad Trumpet. report to the moderator

ONE is the best song on the list! Please, Latvia, send it and you'll be in the finals!
Give Me a Try, I need a Hero, Upside down and Higher and Higher are good too! Too many songs from Latvia! ♥ Hope you choose wisely, not like last year. (I'm sorry, but I didn't like Anmary's song. She's a great singer. The song and the performance were the problem :/) report to the moderator

Really impressed by the quality of the songs for Dziesma 2013, compared to 2012. Although there's some resemblance to Melodi Grand Prix Norway. My favourites are:

    Give Me a Try
    Upside Down
    Higher and Higher
    One
    Tirpini
    Phoenix Fly
    I Need a Hero

The studio versions of these songs sound really good, however writers have another month to select a musician to perform the song in competition. The musician may be different to the ones heard on the demos. Confident we will see Latvia in Eurovision Final 2013. report to the moderator
