Lithuania starts picking now
One of next year's early birds is Lithuania. After two shows to introduce the participant artists, this week it's time for LRT to start the qualification rounds. On Saturday the 3rd of November at 20:00 CET, eight acts will compete to get a place in the Semi-finals in December.
A couple of weeks ago the Lithuanian national selection kicked off with a show to introduce the artists to the audience. There was a second show last Saturday as well, but in these two shows the potential 2013 entries were not revealed, instead the performers sang a piece of their choice.
This Saturday the first eight participant songs will be performed in the first qualificaition round. This is the rundown of the show:
- Vudis & Samanta Tina - Hey Chaki – Mama
- Vincentas Linkevičius - Dance The Night
- Gabrielius Vagelis - Sacrifise
- Uhnè Smile - Call To You Mum
- Saulès Broliai - Loreen
- Valerija Iljinaitė - Kate‘s Morning At 10:08
- Andrius Pojavis - Something
- Julija Jegorova - I‘ll Carry You
The voting as usual will be 50% jury and 50% televoting. This is the first of five qualification rounds. Three of the songs will proceed to the Semi-finals on the 8th and the 15th of December. There will be seventeen to twenty songs in those Semi-finals of which around ten will qualify for the grand final on Saturday the 22nd of December 2012.
