The Maltese national finalists have been announced during a TV show on Friday night. Among the 24 acts are several well-known faces, including Claudia Faniella, Kevin Borg, and Amber.

Xarabank, the most watched programme on Television Malta, featured the announcement of the Maltese national semi-finalists last night. During the show, the qualifying artists and their songs were presented one by one. This is the list of entries, in alphabetic order:

On February 1st, all 24 acts will compete in a national semi-final, where 16 of them will get a ticket for the national final, to be held on February 2nd.

    So,my potential favs until now (not in order) are:
    Claudia Faniello - When it's time.
    Richard Edwards - Fall like Rome.
    Ylenia Vella - Tides of illusion.
    Jessica Muscat - Ultraviolet.
    Dorothy Bezzina - Starting from the end.
    Danica Muscat - Fantasy.
    Davinia - Betrayed.
    Raquela - Keep Believing.
    Amber - In control.
    Petra - No one's home.
    Deborah C - Love-o-holic.

    I hope that Malta doesn't fail me like last year sending Kurt, when it had better songs and singers!!! GO MALTA!! Always has amazing songs in their selection! report to the moderator

    Dominique Azzopardi - Too little too late: Not bad, I've got to listen all song. Nice voice.
    Davinia - Betrayed: Nice, I like the rhythm and her voice. She has a beautiful face =)
    Raquela - Keep believing: Nice!!! sounds like she has a strong voice & love the rhythm!
    Scar - Supestar: Uhhmm, nice and not nice, like and not like it... :/ No, don't like it...
    Saska Hunt - Dress rehearsal, like her voice and song seems to be good! :D
    Amber - In control: I would came straight for her! ♥ LOL LOVE this one! Go girl!!!
    Petra - No one's home: love how the songs starts, and she sings great! Like it! ♥
    Deborah C - Love-o-holic: Maybe I'm a Deb's fan! :O Her voice is great & and love rhythm!!!
    Franklin Calleja - Let your heart talk: love his voice, and he's so cute ♥ nice ballad!
    Klinsman - The remedy: He's hot, but song seems to be a "traditional" one...

    Janice Debattista - Perfect day: Love her voice!!! :D I've got to listen the song complete.
    Chris Grache - Never walk away: Don't like, it hasn't nothing special, he doesn't sing.
    Claudia Faniello - When it's time: She's awesome & I like the song!!
    Corazon Mizzi - My stranger love: her voice is great, but the song sounds a little boring :/
    Richard Edwards - Fall like Rome: Music is awesome!. Amazing voice and he's kewt!!
    Ylenia Vella - Tides of illusion: Love her hair! ♥ Sweety voice and rhythm is nice. Like it!
    Gianni - Us against the world: nice song, but not for him, don't like it.
    Jessica Muscat - Ultraviolet: GOOSEBUMPS!!!! LOVE IT!
    Dorothy Bezzina - Starting from the end: Amazing singer, and the song is beautiful!!! =)
    Gianluca Bezzina - Tomorrow: He looks so sweet, like his voice and song is cool!

    So far I can't decide who I like better, Fall Like Rome - Richard Edwards or The Remedy - Klinsmann. Both are hits imho. report to the moderator

    This is a very GOOD competition. I will have to listen long and hard to try and pick the winner of this comp. Many songs are better than last years representative. Well done Malta. I'd love to hear the full versions of each song. report to the moderator
