Belgrade, Serbia -

Five songs were still in the running in the final of Beosong, the Serbian national selection for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. It was still a varied selection, though: The TV public had the choice between ballads and up-tempo songs, between 16-year-old teen-stars and well-experienced vocalists. In the end, the band Moje 3, consisting of Mirna Radulović, Nevena Božović, and Sara Jovanović, won the trophy, which resembles the Beosong logo!

In an exciting evening show, the Serbian TV public, by means of televoting, picked the act that will represent the Balkanic country in Malmö. Out of five acts that had qualified from Saturday's semi-final of Beosong, they picked Moje 3, who sang Ljubav je svuda.

The winners

Three finalists of the music show "The First Voice of Serbia" will join forces to try and joined forces to win the ticket to Malmö. The winner of this show is 21-year-old Mirna Radulović who demonstrated that she is adept in all musical genres, from pop and rock to the old, traditional folk songs. She also plays violin, guitar and piano.

Nevena Božovic is 18 years old and hails from Kosovska Mitrovica, a girl with a powerful voice who is now a third year student at the Belgrade Faculty of Music. At the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Rotterdam she represented Serbia and won the third place with the song for which she wrote both music and lyrics herself.

The third link in the ensemble is 19-year-old Sara Jovanović, a girl who has mastered the art of scenic movement. She was born and raised in Rome, Italy. Her energetic performances and specific timbre of voice are the reason for her success at the First Voice of Serbia competition.

The show

The Beosong final started with a brass version of the Eurovision anthem, and a dance performance to last year's winning song, Euphoria. Maja Nikolić presented the show on stage, while Gorica Nešović and Dragan Ilić reported from backstage and the green room.

The five competing acts showed a huge variety of musical styles: Saška started with a soft ballad, while SKY's set the stage on fire with their energetic dance act. Then, the only male contestant, Dušan Svilar, showed his elaborate performance involving folk instruments and dancing.

Marija, the fourth contestant, proved that she has indeed a fantastic voice, and her soulish ballad caught the hearts of the audience in the RTS studio. The last act was the girl band Moje 3, and it couldn't be overheard that they had brought a whole lot of fans with them!

In the interval, several participants of the show "I have talent" performed, as well as Oliver Mandić, a famous Serbian singer.

The results

This was the line-up of tonight's show (in order of appearance, winner in bold):

  1. Duga u tvojim očima - Saška Janković (3rd place)
  2. Magija - SKY's (5th place)
  3. Spas - Dušan Svilar (2nd place)
  4. Halo - Marija Mihajlović (4th place)
  5. Ljubav je svuda - Moje 3: Mirna Radulović, Nevena Božović, Sara Jovanović (1st place)

@Katarina-Vranje When translated on English, lyrics are not so bad, but I think that famous Serbian lyrics-writer (I think it is Marina Tucakovic) could do a better job. Good luck to Serbia and It will be very good if you even enter the final, but I'm giving you 12 points for song and the girls. report to the moderator

@MagicalBoy - I'm Serbian and the lyrics are really stupid! But I agree, the new version is better. They have 2 months to work on the choreography and costumes, hopefully that is enough!!!! These girls just participated in a TV contest, so they aren't experienced singers and they definitely aren't a group, so I think their performance skills need a lot of work! report to the moderator

I am disappointed with the Serbian song. The lyrics do not make sense. The choreography is very bad. The girls were dressed like they just arrived from sex shop.

Marija was the best. report to the moderator

Bad song. Singers are mediocre, not great, but average. Choreography is cheap. Try comparing this trio to any other international "girl group" then I think you can start being honest with yourself. Needs big improvement. Not a fan. 0 points from Iceland. report to the moderator

This song is simply not good. A bad version of just about every "girl group" out there. It's also a silly song and not contemporary. Serbia had many other better choices. Nothing original about it...the choreography was cheap and full of cliches. My guess is that many Serbian fans won't agree with me. Oh well. 0 points from Iceland. report to the moderator
