Skopje, FYR Macedonia -

Due to the public criticism, MKRTV, the broadcaster of FYR Macedonia has decided to change the previously announced entry Imperija to another song. Tonight, Esma & Lozano presented their new act called Pred Da Se Razdeni that means Before The Dawn.

The music of Esma & Lozano’s new entry Pred Da Se Razdeni has been written by Lazar Cvetoski, Darko Dimitrov and Simeon Atanasov. The singer of FYR Macedonia Magdalena Cvetovska-Ena has written the lyrics. Darko Dimitrov is no stranger in the Eurovision history. He composed the entry Ninanajna for Elena Risteska in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest and arranged the entry of Anja Veterova in the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The main idea of the song is to emphasize Esma & Lozano’s vocals and their musical talents. That’s why it combines modern elements performed by Lozano and parts of Gypsy music sung by Esma.

"We found a way how to get the maximum from vocal capabilities of Esma and Lozano. This is a modern song with some elements of Roma music, that made Esma so popular and a well known artist. We combined two different styles and what we got in the end is a song that will represent our country in a very decent way. Esma's name, her style and quality in the performance of Roma music is very known worldwide. But Lozano is an amazing singer, too. All together, it will be a perfect way to represent FYR Macedonia in Malmö", the Head of Delegation, Ljupcho Mirkovski said.

You can get to know more about Esma and Lozano in our special feature we released before:

FYR Macedonia will participate in the first half of the Second Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Thursday May 16th.

Sorry to say that, but I prefer the first song "Imperija". In tris second one I found likely only the very last part of the song where the two singers' voices are well mixed... But for sure I prefer the first one.. report to the moderator

Esma is a true star! I do understand that many countries around The Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia don't like the entry. I just loved the former Macedonian entry (Emporia). So what was the problem with the lyrics of 'Emporia' really about? It is nowhere to be found any longer on utube - Neither the song nor the lyrics. Please enlighten me without being nationalistic and rude :) report to the moderator

Not bad song though, but I hate Esma's style, is it something on Turkish or Muslim style of dressing? report to the moderator

Reading the comments I listened to the song for the first time with trepidation.......but I was very pleasantly surprised. The chap has a good voice and the introduction of a different beat when Esma joins in, is intriguing. Her voice is perfect for the style of music and I hope they do well. I am so pleased that in the video they do not look as they do above; it just looks like they are going to a wedding.......stick with red my lovely....... report to the moderator

I didn't like the first song, but I don't like this song too. I think the first song "Imperija" is much better. report to the moderator

I am disappointed to read so many disgraceful, dishonest comments using even a derogatory language based on bias and having nothing to do with the music or the personal choice, rather intended to HARM song's possible position and prosperity. What a pity thoughts...and people. That is so low.

Anyhow, the song is great and original, presenting the best male voice of the upcoming event, with a very spicy and colorful touch of the orient by the Balkan’s diva of the gypsy songs.

Simply amazing and my definite WINNER of the competition. report to the moderator
