Brussels, Belgium -

After a fun-packed national final with guest stars, commentary and of course the three songs sung by Roberto, the public and jury have decided that he will perform Love Kills in Malmö in May!

Throughout this morning the Belgian national final was broadcast on radio Vivacité and broadcaster RTBF's website where Roberto Bellarosa performed three songs. However, only one song could be chosen and the Belgian public and jury decided that this should be Love Kills.

Here is a list of the song titles (winner in bold):

  • Be Heroes
  • Reste Toi
  • Love Kills

Throughout the show special guests including past Eurovision Song Contest participants and participants in The Voice Belgique. We were treated to versions of J'aime La Vie, Hold Me Now, Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi amongst many others.

Below you can see Roberto's performance of Love Kills at the national final. RTBF have informed us that this is not the final version of the song and that this will be released in February.

There was also a quiz about the Eurovision Song Contest, in particular Belgium's songs. It seemed that Roberto Bellarosa and the guests of the show had a very impressive knowledge!

Belgium will perform in one of the two Semi-Finals of the 2013 edition of Europe's favourite TV show on the 14th or 16th of May next year in Malmö, Sweden. The final takes place on the 18th of May.

Wait to see him before critisim! I don't understand people who hasn't heard a singer in live and who already said he's bad! we'll see at the contest, not now!

I have watched "the voice" where he wins, he has a good choice but be sure that wasn't the best... He has been lucky with votes but he wasn't the best... anyway! maybe Belgium has a chance to go to the final!

For the song, I agree, it's not the best... Maybe Belgium will begin to understand that Eurovision need a warm song.. sad becomes boring! report to the moderator

Not so bad. I think Roberto have a very warm voice and he could do a very astonishing performance in Malmö. Maybe I would have preferred too a French song, but this one could get through... report to the moderator
