Malmö, Sweden -

Dina Garipova, the Russian Eurovision representative, showed a vocally strong performance of her heartwarming ballad What If in the first rehearsal today. On stage she peformed in a dark blue setting surrounded by shining white bubbles.

When Dina Garipova prepared for her first rehearsal backstage, she admitted that she was both excited and nervous. "I can't wait to go on stage and sing my song for the first time", she told Eurovision.tv. She was accompanied by her mother to support her.

On the stage, Dina was wearing a light orange dress. "It's not the dress for the live show yet, but it will be very similar", she had explained before.

Her four backing vocalists were dressed in casual clothes. In the end, Dina showed her Semi-Final outfit to the cameras - a long beige dress with small gemstones attached to it.

The stage was set in dark colours in the beginning of the song, and shining white bubbles surrounded Dina. Then the stage brightened up toward the end of the performance, when Dina was joined by her backing artists at the front of the stage. In the end, two of them let two balloons fly.

An incredibly sickly lyric saved by an even more incredibly talented singer! Very nicely staged and vocally arranged.
Good luck to Dina, you deserve to be a star. report to the moderator

I like it. Pleasant song and pleasant singer, but the winner will be a bright person. And this year the brightest song is from Belarus, Lanskaya will win for sure! She's so cute! report to the moderator

At least this is an honest song, comparing the grandmothers of esc 2012...
A little bit too much drama in my opinion.
Anyway she will achieve the finals as usual. Good luck! report to the moderator
