Copenhagen, Denmark -

Despite a less than optimal result in Baku, Soluna Samay has bounced back into the Danish charts with her song Come Again (The Quetzal).

Soluna Samay was a fan favourite before and during the Eurovision Song Contest with her infectious smile, beautiful voice and not least an uptempo yet mellow pop song that the Danes were convinced would bring them Euro-success.

Unfortunately, this dream was not to become a reality and although she qualified to the final of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, Soluna Samay and her team failed to make it to the top, having to live with coming in 23rd place out of 26 songs.

Despite this, Should've Known Better became a hit and gave Soluna the boost to her career that no other platform could have given her. Her participation in the Danish national selection and subsequently Europe's favourite TV show in Baku put her in contact with a number of high-flying artists, songwriters and producers.

Recently Soluna released her first single since Should've Known Better entitled Come Again (The Quetzal), written by the same team made up of Chief 1 and Remee. The song is quite reminisent of Should've Known Better but at the same time is a very individual, stand alone piece that reflects Soluna's life and personality quite well.

Currently the song is at number 18 in the Danish charts, a rare achievement for Danish artists releasing follow up records after the contest so therefore Soluna has found her way into the history books. In addition, Come Again (The Quetzal) has been released outside of Denmark and is available to download on iTunes.

Never forgetting her roots

Despite her success, Soluna never forgets where she came from, starting life as a street performer with her father in the streets of the world. Not long after returning from Baku, she could be seen again performing on Strøget in Copenhagen and attracting a large crowd.

Details of Denmark's selection process for 2013 have yet to be released but we will keep you updated as when we receive them. In the meantime enjoy Soluna's new single! We certainly have!

I loved Soluna's Eurovision song, but I love this even more! It has all of the character and charm that "Should've Known Better" lacked and it's just fun! I truly think that Denmark would've been top 10 with "Come Again." report to the moderator

Eventhough that Soluna didn't bring Denmark a third victory she is still a star in our eyes :) report to the moderator

Glad she's doing well! She really didn't deserve the bottom places in Eurovision 2012, IMO... But oh well, what's done is done... report to the moderator
