The Lithuanian broadcaster, LRT, revealed at the beginning of the week that their national selection for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest will include four semi-finals and a final on the 3rd of March. Tonight the first of these semi-finals took place in Vilnius in order to produce three finalists.

Tonight the final Semi-Final of Melodi Grand Prix 2012 took place in the city of Florø where Petter Øien & Bobby Bare, Tooji and Yaseen & Julie Maria qualified to the final.

Swedish Melodifestivalen has been for years the most anticipated national selection in Europe. During six weeks Swedish Television SVT produces a first class television show in a tour all over the country. This year's tour started in the town of Växjö where eight acts tried to reach the final. Loreen and Dead by April managed to do it!

Maltese broadcaster PBS has been screening a red carpet countdown show for the domestic audience, in anticipation of the national final this evening. Eurovision.tv were there to soak up the atmosphere.

This evening, Malta will choose their entry for the 2012 edition of Europe's Favourite TV Show. As reported earlier, a total of 16 songs qualified from the semi final. We can now reveal the running order for the final. Don't forget to tune in Eurovision.tv to watch the show!

The eight semi-finalists of the Azeri national selection have been whittled down to just five who will now perform in the national final which takes place on the 12th February.
