After three semi-finals held earlier in January, Finnish TV viewers were asked tonight to choose their representative for the upcoming 2010 Eurovision Song Contest which will take place at the end of May in Oslo.  The task was hard with 10 strong songs being performed in front of an enthusiastic crowd in Tampere, but it was ultimately Kuunkuiskaajat with their song Työlki Ellää who got the highest number of sms- and televotes!

Tonight will see the final of Eurovision Laulukilpailu - the Finnish national final for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest which will take place on the 25th, 27th and 29th of May in Oslo, Norway. The presentation will be in the capable hands of Jaana Pelkonen - known for hosting the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest - and Mikko "Peltsi" Peltola. 10 songs will compete for the honour to represent Finland in Europe's favourite TV-show - will the big favourite Eläkeläiset manage to get the highest number of televotes? We will know shortly before 22h CET tonight!

Earlier this evening, the third Finnish semi-final for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest took place with the last 5 singers and groups wanting to advance to the next round.  Amadeus, Nina Lassander, Pentti Hietanen, Antti Kleemola, Heli Kajo and Sister Twister had already secured a place in the final of Eurovision Laulukilpailu in the previous weeks and the successful three who got the highest number of sms- and televotes tonight were Linn, Kuunkuiskaajat and Eläkeläiset! Furthermore, Maria Lund was awarded a wildcard to the final which will take place Saturday in a week.

Tonight saw the second of three semi-finals of Eurovision Laulukilpailu, the Finnish national selection for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Five more candidates were hoping to get a ticket for the grand final, but only three of them could get through! Getting the highest number sms- and televotes tonight were Antti Kleemola, Heli Kajo and Sister Twister who will join the already qualified Amadeus, Nina Lassander and Pentti Hietanen in the final.

Tonight saw the first of three semi-finals for Finland's national final for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, Eurovision Laulukilpailu. The lucky three that went directly to the final were Amadeus, Nina Lassander and Pentti Hietanen!
