Earlier today, Nicolas Pernikoff from French TV France 2 hinted on radio channel Europe 1 that France will be represented in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest by up and coming singer Jessy Matador. With this possible choice, France's delegation aims to achieve two goals: score a good place in Europe's favourite TV show and also create a summer-hit!

The French superstar Patricia Kaas was already very successful before this year's Eurovision Song Contest but after it she's continued her fast pace and giving concerts all over Europe.

The French broadcaster France 3 decided to send in the cavalry for this year's Eurovision Song Contest. The participant was once again handpicked and turned out to be - after a lot of speculation - Patricia Kaas. She earned the best placing - eighth - for France since 2002.

After an exciting voting in front of thousands of people in a fully packed Moscow Olimpisky Indoor Arena and millions of TV viewers all over Europe, it was finally Alexander Rybak from Norway who received the highest number of points from televoters and juries from the 42 countries participating in this year's edition of Europe's favourite TV-show! Norway managed to gather 387 points altogether - a new record! -, followed by Yohanna from Iceland with 218 points and Azerbaijan's AySel & Arash who collected 207 points.
