Tonight saw a very special edition of Late Late Show with the Eurosong special in which Ireland's entry for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest was decided. The winner is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest at all as she won the competition in 1993 - and now Niamh Kavanagh is back for more with her Irish-style ballad It's For You! Will she do the double and win again in Oslo in May?

Tonight, in a special edition of the Late Late Show, the emerald island will decide about their representative in the 2010 edition of Europe's favourite TV show. The competition is strong: we can find a former Eurovision Song Contest winner, a former winning song composer and a member of a hugely famous boyband among the five candidates. Ireland's broadcaster, RTÉ, has announced the rules for their national selection for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. The procedure has become a bit more dynamic but in basics stays the same as in 2009.

Johnny Logan, the three time Eurovision Song Contest winner (1980, 1987 and 1992), told in an interview he has offers from three countries to write their entry for the 2010 Europe's favourite TV-show.

Ireland decided to go another way after last year's Dustin The Turkey and chose to show girl power on stage in Moscow. Sinéad Mulvey and Black Daisy sung a pop-rock piece Et Cetera at the 54th Eurovision Song Contest.
