Moments ago, the Semi-Final Allocation Draw for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest took place in Oslo, Norway. Under scrutiny of Svante Stockselius, Executive Supervisor of the contest on behalf of the EBU, the Host Broadcaster's Head of Press Peter Svaar conducted the draw. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) today announced that Norwegian is to be the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo. The three shows, Semi-Finals on 25th and 27th of May and the Final on the 29th of May 2010, will be televised live, hosted by the Norwegian national public broadcaster NRK.

Sieneke (17) will represent the Netherlands at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo with Ik Ben Verliefd (Shalalie). That was the conclusion of tonight's Nationaal Songfestival. She will perform in the second Semi-Final on the 27th of May, as determined during today's Semi-Final Allocation Draw.

Tonight, a professional jury and the studio audience will decide who will represent the Netherlands in Oslo with the song Ik Ben Verliefd (Sha-la-lie). The five contestants, all coached by famous Dutch singers, will each sing their own version of the song, written by Pierre Kartner. The Nationaal Songfestival 2010, which starts at 21:10 CET, and the press conference afterwards, will be streamed live.

Today, over 1,000 rooms in the official 2010 Eurovision Song Contest hotels are becoming available through the contest's official travel agent, Via Travel. Host Broadcaster NRK blocked rooms for the period between the 15th and 30th of May and negotiated competitive room rates for visiting journalists and fans. The deadline for booking rooms in the official hotels is the 30th of March. Event accreditation for press and fans starts on the 9th of February.

Earlier today, Deputy Mayor Valery Vinogradov handed over a big chain of city keys to his colleagues, Mr Fabian Stang and Mr Odd Reinsfelt, from the cities who will host the next Eurovision Song Contest, Oslo and Bærum. Alexander Rybak, who won the 2009 contest with his song Fairytale, performed as well.
