This Friday and Saturday, the Reference Group of the Eurovision Song Contest will meet NRK organisers in Oslo to look into the preparations for Europe's favourite TV-show. On Friday, the contest's governing body will attend the Host City Insignia Exchange at the Bærum Kulturhus, followed by a press conference to reveal the theme art of the event.

The brand new Fornebu Arena, some 15 minutes from Oslo's city centre, will host the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest on 25, 27 and 29 May next year. Host Broadcaster NRK announced that today. The 55th running of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in the Oslo area, Host Broadcaster NRK and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) jointly announced today. The two Semi-Finals of the contest are now confirmed to take place on Tuesday 25 May and Thursday 27 May, the Grand Final on Saturday 29 May, 2010. A venue to host the competition is still to be chosen.
