Gjoko Tanevki had convincingly won the F.Y.R. Macedonian national heats in February and will represent his native country in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. He will perform Jas Ja Imam Silata and the experienced singer seemed to enjoy his time on the Oslo stage today.

There Are Days Like This is the literal translation of this years Portuguese entry Há Dias Assim, and for young singer Filipa Azevedo there can't have been many other days like this one, as after all of the anticipation since winning the Portuguese national selection, she finally got the chance to see and perform on the huge stage in the Telenor Arena for the very first time during her initial rehearsal today.

In Greek, opa is an energetic exclamation for joy and happiness. Giorgos Alkaios & Friends aimed at recreating that sense in their stage show, when they first revealed it Monday afternoon. The show for their song Opa is marked out by an intense choreography – and luminous drums.

Tom Dice will be the Belgian representative in the 55th Eurovision Song Contest. The young singer was internally chosen by Flemish broadcaster één and his song Me And My Guitar has since become a huge hit in Belgium even reaching No.1 on the official charts. Tom was the first of nine artists today to enter the huge stage in the Telenor Arena to rehearse his song for the first time.

The large number of rehearsals always impress newcomers to the Eurovision Song Contest. The event is one of the largest TV productions in the world, and bringing all the pieces together requires time. Lots of time! In total, there are over 100 hours of rehearsals on the Eurovision Song Contest stage every year. "To get an enormous production like this to that desired level, you need to rehearse," says Sietse Bakker, Manager Communications & PR for the Eurovision Song Contest.
