After two previous attempts, today it was finally the day when Emmy went up on a Eurovision Song Contest stage for the first time. The performance has a whole boxing theme built around the song Boom Boom.

Armenian television had early chosen Emmy to be the country's representative in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest which will take place on the 10th, 12th and 14th of May in the Düsseldorf Arena in Germany. Emmy performed four songs in Armenia's national final on the 26th of February and the favourite of both the televote and the specially selected jury was the happy and uptempo Boom Boom. Will Armenia qualify for the Grand Final with that song? We will know on the 10th of May at about 23:00h CET when the lucky ten will be announced that made it to the final of Europe's favourite TV show!

Once again, it's time for the biggest promotional event of the Eurovision Song Contest to take place. 19 acts have been confirmed for Eurovision In Concert, to be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Tonight, the Armenian entry for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest was picked out of four songs, all of which were performed by Emmy - she had been internally chosen to represent her home country in December already. A 50/50 combination of televoting and the votes of an expert jury decided that she should sing Boom Boom in Düsseldorf!

Weeks ago, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced that Armenian public broadcaster AMPTV would host the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest on the 3rd of December in Yerevan. The broadcaster won the right to host the competition by bid. Over the weekend, EBU and AMPTV officials met for the so-called kick-off meeting, during which the newly appointed Host Broadcaster received in-depth information about the organisation of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

ARMTV, the Armenian national broadcaster, has announced that their national final will be held on the 26th of February. Emmy - who had been internally chosen to be Armenia's representative in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf - will sing four songs in the final.

After a competitive bid procedure, the event's Steering Group elected Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV) as Host Broadcaster of the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Moments ago, the Semi-Final Allocation Draw for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest took place in Düsseldorf, Germany. Under scrutiny of Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the contest on behalf of the EBU, and a representative from Digame. Digame is the EBU's official voting partner and handles the pan-European response platform over which the contest's voting runs.
