Juries also get 50% stake in Semi-Final result
After the introduction of professional juries in the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest this year, it was decided by the contest's Reference Group that music industry professionals will also get a 50 percent stake in the outcome of the Semi-Finals.

This year, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) introduced professional juries in all 42 participating countries to take a 50 percent stake in the result of the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In total, 210 music industry professionals - five per country - cast their votes and also declared Norway's Alexander Rybak as winner. Eurovision.tv can now exclusively reveal the outcome of the jury vote.

Today, Russian singer and producer Philip Kirkorov has announced that he is withdrawing from the Eurovision Song Contest jury in his country, both as member and chairman. In each of the 42 participating countries, professional juries will determine 50 percent of the outcome. The other 50 percent will be determined by televoters.
