The word was out in the press early in the evening today about who is going to represent France at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision.tv just got the confirmation from France Televisions. The singer Amandine Bourgeois will be the French performer in Malmö with the song L'Enfer Et Moi which translates as Hell And Me.

The Armenian 2013 representative has been chosen: It's Gor Sujyan! The 25-year-old musician, who is the lead singer of the band Dorians, has already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 as a backing vocalist of Eva Rivas.

This year, a new element has been introduced in the Moldovan national selection: In its first step, 24 singers and 60 songs have been selected - separately! Now the singers have two weeks time to select one respective song out of the 60 proposals, which they will perform in the national final.

The first qualification round just took place in Finland for their 2013 national selection UMK. After the results of the expert jury and the televote were mixed it turned out that both Mikael Saari and Diandra go straight to the Final in February. Iina Salin, Last Panda and Rautakoura will have a second chance in the semi-final.
