Today, the broadcaster from FYR Macedonia, MKRTV, has announced the title of the song that the Queen of Gypsy music Esma Redžepova and the pop star Vlatko Lozanoski-Lozano will perform together in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. The duo will sing Империја (Empire) on stage in Malmö.

Four songs battled it out tonight in Ellinikόs Telikόs Eurosong 2013 in the Gazi Music Hall in Athens, for the honour of representing Greece in Europe's Favourite TV Show, and it was Alcohol Is Free by Koza Mostra & Agathonas Iakovidis that emerged as winner.

Today at Nedelya x 3, the Sunday magazine of Bulgaria's broadcaster BNT, the three candidate songs were broadcast. The performers of the songs, Elitsa Todorova & Stoyan Yankulov introduced the three songs to the Bulgarian audience for the first time.

Rumoured in the Italian press since the evening, it wasn't until past midnight that presenters Fabio Fazio and Luciana Littizzetto announced during the Festival di Sanremo final that Marco Mengoni will represent Italy at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest! Minutes later he was also crowned winner of Sanremo 2013. The song for Malmö will be confirmed at a later date.

Tonight it was time for the last out of three quarter finals of A Dal 2013, the Hungarian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Six acts have qualified for the two semi-finals, which will both take place next weekend.
