NRK have announced further details of the artists taking part in their national selection, Melodi Grand Prix. The latest participants to be revealed are Yaseen and Julie Maria who will sing a tribute to Norway in the wake of the 22nd of July terrorist attacks.

Daniel Modou Sarr from Norway has won the 2011 Eurovision Young Dancers contest organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). A professional jury selected the winner tonight in Oslo, who performed dance styles incorporating jazz, contemporary and hip hop. Viewers from across Europe watch the show either live or by deferred broadcast. The competition is open to solo dancers aged between 15 and 20, from EBU Member broadcasters.

Düsseldorf is getting ready for the first big Eurovision Song Contest related event - the Host City Insignia Exchange featuring the Semi-Final Allocation Draw. A delegation from Norway will hand over the Eurovision Song Contest insignia to the Oberbürgermeister of Düsseldorf, Mr Dirk Elbers. The ceremony, hosted by 2011 Eurovision Song Contest host Judith Rakers, will take place at the Apollo Theatre and is expected to be attended by hundreds of guests and journalists.
